Command Bar
The command bar is the main way to use Atua. It opens on top of whatever app you are using, so you can ask for help without switching tabs or windows.
Open It
Press ⌥ + Space from any app. The command bar appears in the center of your screen.
You can change this shortcut in Settings → General.
What It Can Use
When you open the command bar, Atua can work with the app you came from. Depending on your prompt, it may use:
- The text you selected
- App context, such as the app name, window title, or browser URL
- Your clipboard text
- A screenshot of the active window
- Screen text from OCR
- Full page or window content
- A voice transcript
Atua only gathers the extra context your prompt asks for. If you do not use a tag like {{screenshot}} or {{windowContent}}, that extra context is not included.
Ask A Question
Type your question or instruction and press Enter. The answer appears right in the command bar.
You can use the command bar for quick rewrites, summaries, replies, translations, brainstorming, or anything else you would normally ask an AI assistant to do.
Paste The Answer Back
When the answer looks right, press ⌘ + Enter to paste it back into the app you came from.
Stop A Response
If the AI is taking too long or going in the wrong direction, click the stop button or press Escape to cancel.
Close It
Press Escape to hide the command bar.
